Core competence
Conventional strengthening increases the capacity of individual members. Seismic isolation and damping work differently: they change the response of the building to an earthquake, reduce transmitted accelerations and dissipate part of the input energy.
We select the technology according to the structural scheme, site seismicity, facility function and the required level of operability after the design event.

Context
A significant part of Kazakhstan lies in seismically active zones, and building safety requirements are being tightened consistently.

The south and south-east of the country, including Almaty and the surrounding areas, are located in a zone of high seismic activity. For such sites, controlling the seismic response of a building is no longer optional — it becomes part of the baseline design solution.

KSP Production works with Zhejiang Earthquake Prevention Technology Co., Ltd. (ZEP), a manufacturer of seismic isolation and damping devices with a track record in buildings and infrastructure.
The partnership combines local engineering expertise and knowledge of Kazakhstani requirements with access to series production, test rigs and international regulatory practice.
